This page sets out where we're glad for you to use AI during your application, and where we'd ask you not to.

Where AI can help

We're happy for you to use AI for:

Researching us. Use AI to learn about Axiom Maths, our mission and our programme, so you can bring your own questions and perspective to the process.

Improving your writing. AI can be a useful tool for giving you feedback on your writing to make it clearer or more compelling.

Interview practice. Use AI to rehearse, try out mock questions, and build your confidence ahead of speaking with us.

Where we ask you not to use it

We'd ask you not to use AI to:

Write your answers. Please don't use AI to generate application answers, cover letters or written exercises on your behalf. We want to hear your own voice and ideas.

Complete assessments. Please don't use AI to complete tasks or tests we set as part of our assessment process.

Coach you during your interview. Please don't use AI to feed you answers or coach you in real time during an interview, whether it's live or recorded.

We may use AI-detection tools to help us check for AI-generated content, so it's always in your best interest to keep your answers genuinely your own

Why this matters to us

We make our decisions based on your own thinking, skills and experience, and that only works if what we see is genuinely yours. It's also how we keep the process fair for every candidate. If you're ever unsure whether a particular use of AI is okay, just ask us. We're always happy to talk it through.
